In addition to providing the necessary representation to the employer on all aspects of career, membership of the HKAOA provides important ancillary benefits. These include:

Legal Protection in the unfortunate event that one of our aircrew is involved in an incident or accident whilst performing their duties on a Cathay Pacific aircraft. This cover extends world wide through the HKAOA membership of IFALPA (the International Federation of Airline Pilots Associations).

A comfortable Members' Lounge located at Cathay City. The lounge is equipped with computers, wireless internet access, widescreen TV, and tea/coffee. This facility is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your enjoyment. The lounge is located across the footbridge from Cathay City on the 6th floor of the Commercial Stores Building.

Regular technical updates from our dedicated Technical and Safety Committee (TASC).

Canadians based in Canada have access to a well established Canadian Pension Plan.

In the event that you lose your licence for medical reasons the HKAOA has established a Group Income Protection plan. There is also a Group Personal Accident plan. Both plans offer a level of cover that comes 'free' with membership of the HKAOA and can be 'topped up' individually to provide greater levels of cover.
